Putting the finishing touches on the baidarka. I really want to make a wooden kayak some time. The baidarka rocks, but something with hatches and bulkheads would be nice.
If you're interested, I was able to paddle and camp for a week with my baidarka using tapered dry bags and a sea sock. It's probably safer than a boat with hatches and bulkheads, but your cargo capacity is a bit smaller (just makes you pack and select gear more carefully).
